You might be in for a bit of a culture shock when you come to Koh Samui for the first time. The beaches and shopping centers may be similar to what you have seen before in other places, but the method of transport around the island could be quite foreign to you. That’s particularly true if most of your vacationing has been in major cities.
villa koh samui is located in a small island, and there isn’t an established public transport system. What you will find is fairly laid back and unofficial. The most common form of transport that’s widely available are called songthaews. These covered trucks have a few seats in the back, and they will take you around much of the island for a small fee.
If you want something a bit more familiar (and costly), then you can opt for the taxis. These tend to only run in the cities, and they are usually clearly marked.
Be sure to ask a few questions before you hop into any of these vehicles. Make sure you know what the fare is and where they are taking you. You don’t want to end up lost and out of money because you didn’t take some basic precautions.
Travel here may be different from what you are used to, but it’s fairly easy to get the hang of it. Just do a little research before you go, and you should be able to figure it out in no time.
